Analysis:Lots of TET contractual teachers will loose job due to merger of SSA and RMSA.

Yes Sarva sikhsa Abhiyaan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Sikhsa abhiyaan (RMSA),two centrally sponsored programme have been merged together and named as Samagra Siksha Abhiyaan.

Now since many days a paper cut from one of the assamese daily is revolving around in social sites stating that that thousands of TET teachers will loose their job.
And lots of teachers are totally confused with that Paper cut and are in panic situation.

Before stating further wether the paper cut is true or false.
Let me explain you How and why SSA and RMSA are Merged?
Actually the plan on merging SSA and RMSA was taken by MHRD long before in 2017 itself.

With this plan, the government wants to make quality education accessible for all by the year 2030. "Pooling together all resources including that of SSA and RMSA at national and state level and clear commitment to school education during the next seven years will make the goal achievable," an expert committee formed to review the  merger said.

Actually now government wants to compete with private schools in terms of quality education.

And moreover the Merge will cut the additional cost expense.The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), which is facing a fund crunch, had asked all the state governments to merge both the directorates for better management and to reduce the costs.

There are around 250 posts in RMSA including the additional project co-ordinators in the districts. For SSA, there are over 6,000 sanctioned posts including block accountants ,DPO,and all.

So the move will save atleast 50 crores a year.

So keeping all these point in mind the merger is done.

At last i want to say to those teachers who are in the state of Panic mind that your jobs are still secure.As long as there is school,it requires teachers to run and inshort it requires you.  Samagra siksha Abhiyaan is modified form of SSA and not more then that..Infact the budget allocation for 2018-2019 is done at Rs.75000 crores which is 10% more then previous year.

So dont loose your patience so quickly .We are a family of more than 20,000 members so why to worry.Dont beleive in each and every papercut or news that revolve round the social sites.Stand with unity and have faith on our leaders.
