What is that 10 % enhancement on existing basic pay email order copy by SSA Assam?

All the SSA Assam teachers were  waiting for their revision in salary eagerly and suddenly an email by Chief Accounts officer of SSA arrives directing to prepare bill with 10% enhancement in present basic pay.

It appears to be like a nightmare to all teachers as all were expecting revision in pay but at last an email flashed of providing a megre 10 % increment in basic pay.

So now questions comes that means we are not entitled to 7th pay.

Actually if you are thinking that than I must say you are totally wrong .

As our education minister has almost clarified that SSA contractual teacher will be totally benefitted from the revision of pay.

And even i said and showed the order copy in my last article regarding PAB,MHRD approving the budget of SSA assam for 2017 to 2018 session with copy of approved minutes .

So there is no chance that we will be excluded from the revision.It is almost 100% sure but it is taking a little bit time for the process to go on.

And even some of our colleagues have discussed the matter with the MD SSA assam.And our MD has assured with positive response .

so still you are worried about that 10% enhancement email order.

It may be the interim relief provided by the SSA to us.

So now what is interim relief .Let me explain you broadly.

The term interim relief itself refers that this is a short term help to cope up with the prevailing economic conditions.

As and when the recommendation of the pay commission is implemented, the amount paid as interim relief will be adjusted against the amount of arrears to be paid on account of wage revision.

These types of relief is given by the concern department time to time as in last year in 2016 West Bengal gave the same type of instruction of enhancement by 10% increment in Basic pay and  followed by punjab Government in last february 2017 by 5% increment in Basic pay.

Actually this type of relief is necessary to maintain the inflation caused by the revision of pay.As we know almost all department except SSA has completed the work of revision in salary.So to maintain the balance between price rise and the wages earned this interim relief is given by SSA to us as it may take some more time for the revision work to be completed in systematic process.

So i request all teacher not to loose the spirit ,there are lots of things to be performed by us unitedly.
